Boeing Reduces Losses and Increases Revenue with Trump Effect

American aviation giant Boeing reduced its net loss in the second quarter of 2025 by 2.4 times compared to the same period last year, bringing it down to $612 million. Last year, this figure was $1.429 billion. The company’s quarterly revenue rose 35% to $22.749 billion.
Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg stated that the positive results were largely influenced by former U.S. President Donald Trump’s trade policies. According to Ortberg, many countries placed large orders for American aircraft to align with trade balance strategies implemented during Trump’s tenure.
Some of the orders secured through Trump’s trade negotiations or direct political pressure are as follows:
Bangladesh: 25 aircraft
Japan: 100 aircraft
Bahrain: 25 Boeing 787s
Qatar: 130 Boeing 787s and 130 Boeing 777-9s
Saudi Arabia: 20 Boeing 737 MAX 8s with 10 optional orders
